We say "postcode" in Australia, but as Paul said, either term is clear. In the UK we say postcode, but people would probably understand postal code. I’m American, and have never once in my life heard someone here say “postal code.” I’ve only ever heard and said “zip code.” And now I’m wishing that wasn’t the case, because postal code definitely makes a heck of a lot more sense.
